Resident Evil 2 (2019): Maiden Statue Code - A Step-by-Step Guide
How to unlock the Maiden Statue and decipher its tricky code in the Resident Evil 2 remake.
When you step into the eerie halls of the Raccoon City Police Station in Resident Evil 2, one of your main objectives will be to collect three medallions to unlock a hidden exit and escape the terrifying place. While the first medallion is easy to locate, the other two require a bit more puzzle-solving and exploration. Among them, the Maiden Statue is the most challenging, as it’s both hidden behind a wall and its code is obscured by rust. But don’t worry, we’ll guide you through the steps to reach the statue and unlock the code.
How to Reach the Maiden Statue in Resident Evil 2 Remake
The Maiden Statue can be found on the third floor of the police station, in the West Storage Room. While you can access this area early in the game, you won’t be able to reach the statue until you’ve cleared a significant obstacle. The wall blocking your way is reinforced and will need to be blown up with C4. To craft this, you’ll need to find two key items:
Battery: The Battery is located on the second floor in the S.T.A.R.S Office, which is on the west side of the station. Once inside the office, look to the left as you enter, and you’ll spot the Battery sitting on a desk.
Electronic Gadget: Progress through the game until Marvin calls you to check in. Afterward, you'll find yourself surrounded by zombies, and you’ll acquire the Bolt Cutters. Head to the Operations Room on the first floor, on the western side, and use the Bolt Cutters to open a chained door leading to a back room. The Electronic Gadget can be found on a table inside the room.
Once you’ve obtained both the Battery and the Electronic Gadget, combine them to create a detonator. Use it on the wall in the West Storage Room. After placing the detonator, you’ll have ten seconds to move away before the explosion. Be warned—a zombie will appear behind you after the blast!
Maiden Statue Code in Resident Evil 2 Remake
Once the wall is destroyed, you can reach the Maiden Statue. To uncover its code, refer to the officer’s notebook. The correct code is "Woman, Bow & Arrow, Snake," in that exact order. The rust on the statue makes it nearly impossible to see the full symbols, but you can make out parts of the image—such as the bottom of the woman’s head, the arrow from the bow, and the head of the snake.
If you’re having trouble deciphering the symbols due to the rust, try increasing the brightness on your screen or game settings. The slight details will become clearer, allowing you to match the rust with the code. The picture above can also serve as a guide, helping you align the rusty markings with the correct symbols.
Unlock the Maiden Statue, and you’ll be one step closer to solving the puzzles of the Raccoon City Police Station.
