Kai Cenat Lights Room on Fire With Fireworks
A fire breaks out during a celebration on Kai Cenat’s Twitch stream, but quick actions prevent disaster.
Twitch streamer Kai Cenat recently gave his audience an unexpected scare when he set off a firework during a live stream—ultimately causing a fire in his room. The firework was intended as a celebration for 25 gifted subscriptions, but things quickly got out of hand. Thanks to quick thinking on both Cenat’s and his viewers’ parts, the situation was diffused before it escalated into something much worse.
Cenat, still riding the wave of his success after breaking Twitch subscriber records with his Mafiathon 2 subathon—a month-long event that saw him stream for 670 hours—has continued to command attention whenever he goes live. Although his streaming schedule has slowed down recently, the chaos he sparked during his latest broadcast proved that he can still make waves.
During the stream, a viewer gifted 25 subs to Cenat’s channel, prompting him to celebrate by lighting a firework on stream. He walked off camera, retrieved the firework, and lit it in front of the camera before tossing it into the back of the room. Before the firework went off, Cenat seemed to have second thoughts, questioning his decision as he took cover in his chair. After the explosion, he continued to express disbelief at his own actions, remarking on how the carpet appeared to have survived.
However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed something unsettling: while the carpet remained intact, a fire had started to burn in the background.
Cenat Acts Fast as Fire Spreads
As the arcade machine in the background caught fire, viewers flooded Cenat’s chat, urgently warning him about the danger. Initially unaware of the growing blaze behind him, Cenat quickly turned around, saw the flames, and sprang into action.
He rushed to grab water and managed to extinguish the fire before it became a serious threat. His swift response, alongside the help of his concerned audience, prevented what could have been a much worse outcome. Everyone, including the viewer who gifted the 25 subs, was able to breathe a sigh of relief that the fire was contained.
A Familiar Scenario?
This isn’t the first time Cenat has caused concern with fireworks during a stream. In July 2024, a similar incident took place when Cenat’s friend, Davis, set off a box of fireworks during a stream. While the display was visually stunning, fans were left worried about the potential danger. It was later revealed that the whole setup was a prank orchestrated by MrBeast, who had arranged an outdoor firework display to mimic Cenat’s usual streaming space.
With this new fire incident fresh in the minds of fans, viewers are hoping that Cenat will keep his firework celebrations outdoors from now on—preferably far from anything flammable.
While Cenat’s streams are often filled with excitement and unpredictable moments, this close call serves as a reminder of the potential dangers that can arise when things are pushed too far. Fans are hopeful that his next celebration will be a bit safer—preferably without fireworks going off indoors.
