Infinity Nikki Promises Major Change to Outfit Slots
Infinity Nikki is set to address one of the community's most requested features by expanding the game's outfit slots, offering more customization options for players in future updates.
Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the beloved Nikki franchise, has confirmed that a major upcoming update will introduce a long-awaited feature: additional outfit slots. This move comes in response to widespread community feedback, with players eagerly anticipating the ability to store more outfits in a game centered around creative dress-up mechanics. As Update 1.2 is currently underway, the developers at Infold are aiming to expand the game's features while maintaining its momentum since launch.
Since its release, Infinity Nikki has combined the franchise's signature fashion elements with an expansive open world, attracting a broad audience. The game’s latest update introduced the new area of Wishfield, home to the Firework Isles. Players can now explore this vibrant environment, face off against tougher enemies, solve intricate puzzles, and use a new Fireworks ability. Additionally, the story takes a deeper emotional turn, with Nikki helping Marques Jr. confront his childhood trauma while unraveling the mysteries of the island.
However, despite its many improvements, a critical issue for many players has been the limited number of outfit slots. With only four available slots, customization became a challenge, especially as Infinity Nikki features a wealth of outfits to collect. This limitation sparked a vocal demand from the global community for additional outfit slots, with players expressing their frustrations across platforms, including Weibo and Reddit. In response to this demand, Infold finally announced that more outfit slots will be added in a future update. While an exact release date hasn’t been confirmed, players are hopeful that the feature will arrive soon, especially given the game’s growing wardrobe of free outfits.
Details on how the additional slots will be implemented remain scarce. It is possible that players may need to use in-game currencies, such as Diamonds or Blings, to unlock these new slots. However, given Infold’s commitment to improving the quality of life for players, there’s a strong chance that the update will simply increase the number of available slots directly in the user interface, making the change seamless for players.
Looking ahead, Update 1.3 is expected to arrive in late February, with recent data mining suggesting that a housing feature may also be on the horizon. By summer 2025, players could be exploring a new region, and with the addition of more outfit slots, Infinity Nikki is positioning itself to further elevate the customization experience for its dedicated player base.
