Genshin Impact Chart Reveals 5-Star Waiting List for Version 5.4
Kokomi, Venti, and More Await Their Turn as Genshin Impact's 5-Star Rerun Schedule Continues to Evolve
Genshin Impact Version 5.4: 5-Star Character Waiting List Revealed
A recent chart has unveiled which 5-Star characters are set for reruns in Genshin Impact, highlighting a developing trend among the game's banner schedules. With over 90 characters now available, maintaining a fair and balanced rotation has become increasingly challenging for developers. Certain 5-Star characters, especially those with unique or niche playstyles, have been sidelined for extended periods. Notable examples include Ganyu and Shenhe, both Cryo characters from Liyue, who had gone over 550 days without a rerun banner.
While Ganyu and Shenhe are now back on the Chronicled Banner, many players speculate that triple banners may become a more frequent occurrence. This stems from the unpredictable nature of the Chronicled Banner and the absence of certain luck mechanics, such as Capturing Radiance, introduced in Version 5.0. Additionally, recent changes to the Weapon Banner have made pulling on the Chronicled Banner less efficient for acquiring preferred 5-Star characters or weapons.
The chart, created by RapidFresh, indicates that Kokomi is still the top contender for a rerun after Version 5.4. Her last banner appearance was in Version 3.8, where she shared the spotlight with Wanderer. Initially regarded as a premium healer, Kokomi's value has only grown due to the unique mechanics introduced in Fontaine. Other key names on the waiting list include Venti, expected for a Version 5.5 rerun, and Xianyun, one of the few Fontaine characters yet to return.
Inazuma Characters Left Behind
One intriguing observation from the chart is that characters from Inazuma have been noticeably absent from recent banners. Popular characters such as Kokomi, Ayato, Ayaka, Yoimiya, Yae Miko, and Itto could all potentially join a future Inazuma-focused Chronicled Banner, with Mizuki also on track for a debut by Version 5.6. While the developers haven't confirmed a third Chronicled Banner, consistently including these characters would address some of the issues players have with the current banner structure.
Exciting Returns and New Additions
The waiting list also reveals that while Cryo characters were in a banner drought, Wriothesley is poised to make a return in Version 5.4. Details on the Event Banners for Version 5.5 remain scarce, but it’s speculated that Varesa will be the new 5-Star character joining the roster. With Venti likely occupying one of the banner slots as part of an Archon rerun, this leaves two other spots open for additional 5-Stars to feature.
Genshin Impact Version 5.4 is set to launch on February 12, 2025, with much anticipation for which characters will finally make their long-awaited return.
